Handwoven Bamboo Hair Pin
From the preparation of fresh bamboo, to carving and polishing the pin, these hair pins are entirely handmade by craftswomen in China’s Sichuan province. They are made from individual fibres of bamboo that have been hand stripped from the whole shoot. Each hair pin is made of tens of strips of bamboo arranged together and woven into a knotted shape. Complete with a hand carved bamboo pin that slides neatly through the outer loops. Extremely flexible and able to hold even the thickest hair. Use to pin down buns, half up half down styles and more. Truly a piece of wearable art.
